Acts 16 Prayer

Posted: September 3, 2013 by Rich Landosky in Uncategorized

I am currently reading through Acts in my evening devotions. last night I read chapter 16. As Luke, Paul and Timothy were on their travels, they arrive Philippi. There they come across some women.  A woman named Lydia is specifically mentioned.  After they preached the Good news to these women, verse 14b says, “The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was spoken by Paul. (HCSB).

My prayer for me (with some of the folks we are friends with) and for all of you this year as you live and speak the Gospel in front of your friends is that the Lord would open their hearts to pay attention to what you have to share with them.

May this coming year be one in which we are very dissatisfied with living life as usual, just wasting time doing our “thing,” whether that be work or school or sports or whatever. May we all seriously embrace Jesus’ call for us to go and make disciples, looking for every opportunity to rescue someone from Hell. And as we go, know that I am praying for God to go ahead of us and open the hearts of those we have the opportunity and privilege of talking to.
