Monday Musings

Father’s Day. I never been big into celebrating or getting real excited about holidays.  But I’ll tell you, nothing is cooler than seeing your kids so anxious for you to see and open the things that they made you and got you for something like Father’s Day.  I love being a father and I love the two little rug rats God has blessed us with the privilege of discipling into mature followers of Christ.

Missions Team Retreat. Great weekend with the mission team headed to Honduras.  We covered a ton of material and had a great time growing closer as a team.  it’s going to be a great trip.

Aldan Bible Camp. It all started today.  I am just “The Sound Guy” and I love that role.  I get to see the children and all of their excitement without having to work directly with them.  We had some technical difficulties this morning but all is well as far as I can tell.  Good group today.

Baptizing Frogs. My buddy Jim called the other day about the theology of baptizing frogs.  He was filling the baptismal pool at his church in preparations for a baptism on Sunday.  He came back about 30 minutes after starting the water and there was a frog on the tub hanging out.  Apparently the frog did not make a profession of faith – so no baptism.

Reverb. I’m really getting excited for Reverb this week with the high school.  it should be a fun week and having Rob from Place of Promise joining us should make it incredible!  if you’re in high school or an upcoming freshman, you don’t want to miss it!
