Isaiah 30

As words of disappointment, correction and judgment are spoken by God through the prophet Isaiah in chapter 30, verse 18 offers hope to all of us who at times live lives of disobedience to God:

 18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
       he rises to show you compassion.
       For the LORD is a God of justice.
       Blessed are all who wait for him!

How amazing and crazy is God’s love that even when we are wandering away, living in disobedience, He longs to be gracious to us and show us compassion!  Not just that He will do it, but He longs to do this.  How incredibly awesome id that?!

Father God, thank you for your amazing, awesome, crazy love for me.  Thank you for your grace and compassion even when I don’t deserve them.  Thank you that you not only offer them buy that you long to grant them because you long to be with me.  You are amazing!  And I am humbled by your love for me and your constant pursuit of me.  Amen.
