Are You Hungry? | Thursday, April 16, 2009

Today will be a much needed day off.  I am feeling very worn down due to my allergies which kicked up this weekend with all of the Easter flowers at church and with aches and pains that cold, wet weather like this brings to my knees and back.  I plan to sleep in, get some good rest all day, enjoy time with The Boy, maybe get the motorcycle out and running, and then head into the city around dinner time to the Franklin Institute to take the kids to see the Chronicles of Narnia exhibit there.  And then, if memory serves me correctly, the new season of American Choppers begins tomorrow night – finally!

On to Isaiah 25…

What an incredibly rich passage.  Look at some of these verses…

1 O LORD, you are my God;
       I will exalt you and praise your name,
       for in perfect faithfulness
       you have done marvelous things,
       things planned long ago.

 – “marvelous things, things planned long ago” – I love the security that comes with knowing that God never gets taken by suprise and that everything has been planned from all eternity past.

8 he will swallow up death forever.
       The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
       from all faces;

– What an amzing day we have to look forward to! Death swallowed up forever.  No more tears as God Himself wipes them from our faces and eyes! –

I so look forward to that day and all of eternity with the Father.
