Join us as we watch portions of  ”Hotel Rwanda” and look into Scripture as we continue to sort through how we are intersect with culture.  It’ll be a great night of fun, challenge, learning and plenty of popcorn!  Join us in the HS Rooom from 7:00-8:15.

JAM ‘09

We leave for JAM ‘09 in a little more than four hours!  This weekend is one of the things I look forward to the most with our Middle School Ministry.  Here are some way that you can pray for this incredible weekend:

• Pray for the 8 middle schoolers we are bringing – that God would give them boldness in sharing the Gospel with the children they work with.
• Pray for the hundreds of children from the city that will be there – that the Holy Spirit would move in their hearts and prepare them to hear and respond to the Gospel.
• Pray for good weather on Saturday.
• Pray that God would receive glory as a result of this weekend.

Opportunity for Our MS & HS Students

I got a call yesterday from a parent of one of our high school students.  There is an opportunity to help some folks out and possibly earn some community service hours too if you need them.  An emergency response team is looking for a handful of students who can help them train on Saturday morning, May 16th from 7:00-10:00.  All you need to do is be there wearing a bathing suit and clothes over top of your bathing suit.  The Emergency Response Team is practicing some decontamination drills and needs “contaminated victims.”  If you are interested in helping out – sounds like it could be fun and interesting – please let me know by this weekend at the latest.

Hey everyone, we continue our series “intersect|culture” tonight.  Make sure you join us as we continue to study and discuss who we are to engage the culture we find ourselves in and make a difference for Christ.  You really son’t want to miss it!

Calling all AUC middle schoolers!  This weekend the middle school leaders will gather for two days to evaluate this past year and to begin planning next year.  You can help us out by submitting your thoughts and comments to the follwing questions no later than Friday noon.
